Nice! Having more classic anime available to buy is always a good thing.

G- Force please, Ghostweeper Mikami, heck this calls for a ton of OG classics mainly for being discontinued, out of circulation, and anniversaries.

[MediaOCD's own post about it](https://mediaocd.com/so/23PleYC3J) noted that "another retailer" (i.e. Crunchyroll after they acquired distributor RightStuf a few years ago) delisted a bunch of Discotek titles that weren't out of print, so this is a focused effort to combat Sony's monolith.

Was just coming to post about this - here is a really good [deep dive thread about it as well on twitter](https://x.com/i/status/2017332834340618531)
Once again, sony putting its almost monopoly hold (80% of the NA market sale) to work making everything more shit.
Looks like we wont be getting those Rightstuf title reprints such as Gundam BDs at this rate.

Kenichi, S-CRY-ed and Galaxy Express are definitely tempting. Wish Kenichi came with the OVAs.

This is great news. I've been able to pick up some real gems thanks to what discotek has been putting out in the past couple years.

Good to see older stuff like this getting a chance; just wish Galaxy Express 999 TV was on that list! I already got the movies.

If its any consolation, they just put out the GE999 TV series in a complete collection set not too long ago.
TheToadKing2026-01-31 02:11
They just released a new complete box for the TV series to replace the individual volume releases.

MediaOCD founder Justin Sevakis also founded Anime News Network over 27 years ago when he was 17 or 18. However, ANN boss and forum member "Tempest" is who made ANN the way it would become.
