Could you check my list of things to watch with my siblings? (I fucked up (-)_(-) )

**What I would like you to do is let me know if any of the shows on this list have any uncomfortable scenes to watch together ( you know what I mean). Komi Can't Communicate level is fine, anything more than that is kinda inappropriate.** This is the list of shows I chose as options for us to watch together:

To give you some context, I'll tell you the story:

My siblings and I spent almost every day (after finishing BnHA) looking at the catalog until bedtime (without choosing anything)

So we kept suggesting one thing, then another, until I suggested Makeine.
Why not? The animation is excellent, it's funny, and the first episode ended beautifully. I was even excited for the second one...

Then came the scene with Lemon... my siblings were there, of course, but my father, coincidentally, was also in the room at that moment. Then he sprayed that cold spray on Lemon once (it was weird), twice (I started to feel uncomfortable), three times, then she had her "climax"(wtf), but it didn't seem close to ending. Then she lifted her bra, and I checked the time, and it wasn't even halfway through the episode and... W O W I took it off the screen and the room went silent

Cyberpunk and Alya sometimes hides her feeling are the only 2 I’ve seen in your list.

Cyberpunk has full nudity a few times (BD porn), Alya just has a few questionable scenes (sister stuff, and the « hypnosis » scene I think)

Too bad for Makeine, that lemon scene is definitely the furthest it goes by far

Flcl is VERY likely a nogo. The father in it is very... strange. The girl is also, well, long story short she crazy, and do crazy stuff and gets into weird positions and situations that can easily be inappropriate.

He's very suggestive of, and pushes the MC to do adult-like stuff. It's not crazy, but definitely not family appropriate.

Flcl is pretty much about sexual assault. Most impacting part is that it doesn't really comment on it; the narrative doesn't necessarily presents it as a bad thing (neither a good thing), it just presents it.

It is a pretty subjective thing tbh. Depending on your culture and personal life experiences/views you would consider something as not okay for young humans or as okay. The only safe way is going for the safer animes out there avoiding animes for more adult people such as Katanagatari or Land of the Lustrous (they both are safe but it is just my opinion, but it is true that they may be a little dense or complex or even lewd animes for kids)

In the other hand, anime as a medium is full of things that may be considered as not okay for kids, so I would be that careful about them. Just enjoy the full medium. Be careful just with ecchi animes because they can be very awkward to watch with family members

From what I've watched, Yozakura and kizoku ojou is ok. Alya, cyberpunk and jigokuroku has a number of uncomfortable and sexual scenes.

Land of the Lustrous has body horror and “nudity.” though a fantastic series that everyone should experience, if Komi is your limit, you shouldnt watch it

the characters are gems that look human, but are not human. gems break differently than humans. there is no blood or gore but it still can get scary.

as for “nudity,” since they’re gems, 99% of the characters are androgynous and dont have any sexual features.

Turkey and Magilumiere are both totally appropriate. The weirdest thing in both shows are cross dressing characters, but in both cases it's treated respectfully.

As others have said, definitely don't go for Alya. You should also skip Hells Paradise. It's got a lot of sex.

Yes, Symphogear has a scene where the villain is naked and torturing another character in the first season. There's no nipples shown, but I don't see that flying on their household.

Fuli Culi is an incredibly strange anime in over 100 possible ways. I mean, it's one of the best anime you can watch, but watching it with someone else will be a super weird experience, really, really weird, unless your companions can handle some intense stuff.

if you're planning on watching the scott pilgrim anime, you might wanna consider skipping over the bit in episode 5 where todd and wallace "run lines" in todd's trailer, because that, depending on how mature your siblings are, could get a little uncomfortable. nothing is shown, its just kissing and moaning sounds, etc from about 8:50-9:30.

Cyberpunk has sex, strong violence and drugs.

Alya has Yuki, Yozakura has Makoto (?) which both have a very strong attachment to their sibling

Symphogear leans into the ecchi a bit, Yozakura too though much less so

Jigokuraku definitely has some scenes that cross the line if the Makeine scene did

Magilumiere, Food Court, Katanagatari, and Land of the Lustrous are definitely safe

Symphogear probably has a few moments that are way too much sexuality wise (especially that one season 1 scene), and also occasionally has mass casualty events with a lot of blood

If you want something that is slightly less romance and more suspense Death Note is really good without any weird scenes.

Jigokuraku might get uncomfortable sometimes. Cyberpunk definitely will, in a big way. Symphogear probably will, too, at least in season 1. FLCL is usually more metaphorical but still would get uncomfortable.

I've seen these and they should be fine:

Kaizoku Oujo

Kyousougiga

Turkey (only seen a few episodes but didn't seem like the kind of show that would get uncomfortable)

Magilumiere (same as Turkey)

Gunsmith Cats

Katanagatari

Not sure if you mean Yozakura Family or Yozakura Quartet, but I've seen Yozakura Quartet and it should be fine (only seen Hana no Uta, though)

Edit: Gunsmith Cats has a couple scenes of women in their underwear, so it might be a maybe, but there's not much else as far as I remember (the manga, on the other hand...)

From what I've seen on your list, Alya and Yozokura are the only ones I've seen. Alya, others have already mentioned.

Yozokura is an interesting drama. Graphic at times, for violence, but sex? A high school married couple that haven't consummated their vows? Yeah. The only problem I see is that one family member is a total sis-con. He'd be happy to kill his new BIL, but his sisters would do worse to him. The most you'll see would be an occasional panty shot, but that would just be in passing.

If you have it on your service, I'd recommend 2 family-friendly anime.

ReLIFE. No nudity, but there is a scene that does get steamy . . . And gets cut off before anything happens. Important to the plot as you can't have a 27-year-old guy getting the hots for a high school girl.

Another one is Hinamatsuri. Mild nudity, but nothing frontal. Have your dad watch it first, but he'll agree with the first episode that it's acceptable for the family. I had no problem watching it with my granddaughters.

jigokuraku has a bunch of nudity. Basically naked characters drawn with amazing detail but missing nips and stuff to appease the Japanese code.

Edit: are you taking recommendations? I watched (with my sibling as well) Nichijou and JoJo (up till part 2) and those were hilarious and fun. Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun was also great, loved that show to bits.

kataganari is pretty safe as far as i can remember, there are death and violence since it's.. samurai,sort of, type of anime but i seem to remember there is nothing more than kissing scenes. Also beautiful story.

Check spy x family, no sex scenes in it since it has "family" vibes the whole anime
