This episode showed that the MC can adapt to a new environment and now an option has appeared for companionship in an unexpected way. As a monster, can he make friends with another monster and start embracing a completely new type of community or is he going to keep pushing toward humanity despite the obvious obstacles in the way?
Kind of a silly question to ask when the episode title for next week gives a strong indication for what's to come, but I'm enjoying what's under the hood. Still wish the MC didn't have amnesia, the blank slate approach isn't my favorite.
I can only think of how foolish Myria is being going into the forest alone where her party got wiped out and she only survived because of the MC.
the title sequence shouldn't have spoiled that part
She has a really big case of survivor's guilt it looks like.

And while I think the animation here is a step up compared to Spider, the directing/composition is a step down. Kinda awkward with how everything is stitched together.
This anime here has better animation but such a boring MC comparatively.
This one is more of a silly/daily life/slow progression with a side of adventure/fights
Fights are prettier too, but that may just be the age difference.
Don't forget the mushroom lamp!
His cave is probably enough to really confuse people that somehow track him down, a wild dragon making pottery.
Knight and beast girl showing up could be interesting, hopefully they don't get melted by plague dragon breath eventually.
The juxtaposition switching back and forth between Myria wandering deeper into the scary forest, and the MC in the middle of the same forest fawning over some fruits as they (presumably) get closer to each other was amusing.
At (not so) long last, the lizard from the OP/ED is here and [she's adorable](https://i.imgur.com/2Nk5QFA.gif).

She's a solid mix of a cute little creature and a [menacing clever bastard](https://i.imgur.com/YwpP53Z.png), with the misdirection with Clay Gun and hit-and-run with the poison.

I've also been collection [a bunch of screencaps](https://i.imgur.com/DwpgHZn.png) of expressions from the MC so far. I'm glad to see that they've managed to make him this expressive even in the Young Plague Dragon form.
\> Does not use fire breath
\> Fights a double poison, poison master, super poisonous poison monster
\> Gets bit
\> Tries to walk it off
Guys I'm starting to think that the MC ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.
EDIT: I suppose the not using fire breath is explicable because he wanted to use the clay to make ceramics. Still, might have been worth attempting to immobilize the monster by using fire on its legs or something like that.
He's special for sure.

To be fair, if he wants the clay to be malleable and usable to make pots afterwards, heating and therefore hardening it wouldn't allow him to do that.
>

Well, duh, he wanted to use its clay to make pots. Can't shape clay how you want if it's already fired.
just say "you gained X total"
Outside the Mc being a dragon, there isn't too much to really mention. Granted, the MC's personality is fun even if he is an idiot.
Keeps on doing cheap trick which increased his wrongdoers level lol.
They showed zombie Daz, then didn't bother to develop that further and instead showed mc killing some random monsters.
It's getting kinda frustrating. Maybe this is a show that should be binged.
I'll give it 2 more episodes to do something interesting, otherwise I'm going to drop it for the time being.
You know I was excited for the Mc to see another dragon to combat his loneliness, but then she attacked him. Granted, she probably is an evil dragon too. Well, the title got me intrigued about what happens next week.
Called Allies
We are Pokemon Sun/Moon S O S chaining
Here it felt so fast paced but at the same time it feels like nothing really happened, because nothing really mattered. Last episode ended with that slime thing cliffhanger, which lead to nothing so far. Then you had like 4 fights, a couple level ups. They went through a lot of stuff but it was all kinda meaningless.
Level ups without reaching max level means nothing because fights aren’t really decided by stats but by the whim of the author.
Skill levels don’t really do anything either. He leveled up a couple skills and there wasn’t even an explanation if anything changed.
There was so much that happened but so little that mattered.
Meanwhile Frieren was ultra slow paced but it felt like so much happened because it all mattered
I liked the creativity they showed with all the different mushrooms. They had light up ones, meat tasting ones and even psylocibin-like hallucinogenic ones. He came off stupid though when he burned them just because he didn't want to eat them. The guide said they were valuable so if he became human, he could sell them and not have to work.
The world operates on RPG rules. He gets stronger by killing stuff. He wants to be stronger so he'll be safer, and he's also hoping he'll unlock the human transformation if he levels enough. Most of the monsters in the forest are hostile, so it's not really practical to keep it alive. If a sheep was carnivorous and big enough to eat people, not a lot of people would be willing to keep it alive to shear it.
>Also poisoning monkeys is pretty messed up.
Eh, not really. They're stealing his food. Mouse traps and rat poison are used the same way. Also, they're hostile monsters, and they may not be a match for him individually, but social animals that can hunt in packs are dangerous.
>They had light up ones, meat tasting ones and even psylocibin-like hallucinogenic ones. He came off stupid though when he burned them just because he didn't want to eat them. The guide said they were valuable so if he became human, he could sell them and not have to work.
They're valuable because they can be used to make highly addictive drugs. In other words, they're valuable because drug dealers can use them to ruin people's lives for a profit. Our protagonist's hero title even leveled up when he burnt the mushrooms, indicating it was objectively a good deed.
I guess I was hoping for more reincarnated as sword type vibe.
I like this manga, so I'm watching the show, but this episode was a chore.
It almost seems like he wants her to die in the forest.
The MC has functional memories of Japan but no life memories.
Ans he is dumb as rocks yet somehow skillful at cooking, pottery, crafting.
