This list is crazy. I didn't even watch these much anime for my whole life.

Asleep-Strain67782026-01-31 14:52

🤣

khuz612026-01-31 15:57

its only 13 anime on that list?(and some of those were movies)

Do you have any specific reasoning for your picks? I'm especially curious what your explanation for the choice of ending is since it's a credits scroll. And not even a credits scroll with interesting visuals.

The question remains: why?

E: as in I know nothing about why you chose any of these anime (and songs)

Anime of the year is Takopi for me

FeefuWasTaken2026-01-31 14:58

Same. Doesn't seem like op watched it considering it wasn't mentioned once tho

columnal2026-01-31 14:58

Id put Chainsawman as best anime movie of the year but whatever floats your boat ig

The only ones I watched and can therefore judge are Orb: On the Movements of the Earth and The Apothecary Diaries season 2.

Which, for my own preferred favorite picks and top list of the year, I don't even consider and factor into it since The Apothecary Diaries season 2 is the second season of a 2023 series and Orb is a 2024 series which just continued into and concluded in 2025.

For 2023, The Apothecary Diaries was in my Top 5 (#4) and for 2024, Orb: On the Movements of the Earth was in my Top 15 (#12) and both with a 7/10.

khuz612026-01-31 15:55

yeah idk how Orb can be considered a 2025 anime by anyone when it literally started in 2024

Irhaam57892026-01-31 15:03

its either takopi or mha for me tbh just seeing mha end made me cry and takopi made me cry every ep

Irhaam57892026-01-31 15:04

still kinda mad they didnt use the first ending of mha or the opening as the ending sequence for the anime but alls well that ends well

Apocalypse Hotel

Yachio and the staff at Gingarou Hotel are #1.

iabyajyiv2026-01-31 15:12

Based on your list, I really need to get started on that last season of My Hero Academia.

Asleep-Strain67782026-01-31 15:15
