Just when I thought this episode was relatively peaceful, we see a beheaded NPC character, most likely a target of a mission Ishinoo accepted.
To force them to give up peacefully, once they know that she knows what they are planning, then it is kind of over.
Unless they are desperate enough to go out fighting.
Kind of how the military will tell another country about all the weapons they have and they have put 2 carriers of the other country's coast.
I will bet Yashiro is the kind of hero who is always broke despite being good at his job and so this is his normal state. But he should really accept that teacher gig, if only to keep Jogamine and her friends out of trouble. They all seem to be trouble magnets.
Ishino seems to be the kind of “good guy” who is extremely shady and manipulative despite always staying on the right side of the law.
He's kinda giving me the vibe of like a morally gray character. Flirting with both sides of the aisle. That ending scene seemed to try and paint him more on the villainous side as a ploy.
Ishino having Aki ask that dealer about "E4" was obviously a set up.
Seems like he knew or at least suspected of him to be involved with whatever this new drug is and just wanted confirmation with Aki's ability.
It makes me wonder when that dealer said "*you should really stop working for that four-eyes*" , if that was meant as advice or more as a threat.
Going back to ep3 when Ishino pulled that "mutation" card during the card game.
Makes me question what Ishino's involvement and knowledge of this new "E4" drug really is.
Him just being bothered by brats that he cannot get rid of should not be this entertaining. Any criticisms of Aki just bounce right out her hollow head.
Okay, I can see Sara having picked out those clothes cause Aki would not look so convincingly normal if she was responsible for dressing herself.
Those girls do not look like they belong here.
The plot is calling. E4, presumably the mystery regen substance from the Count of Amber Thorns clusterfuck. Aki does make for a pretty good interrogator.
It’s not full time-stop or anything but subjective slowing down time is still pretty damn effective.
Honestly, if everything or even anything of what Aki was saying about those guy’s motives is true, they got off real easy.
I am slightly suspicious about how Ishino even knew where to go looking and what keyword to use in questioning. I’m keeping an eye on you.
Some Aki backstory hints that are probably going to be important later on.
For all his talk about how there are no good people in the brave business, I don’t think that’s entirely correct. Yashiro wouldn’t be concerned about them if he didn’t have a little bit of a soft spot for them despite how annoying they are.
Seems like next week we might find out what Sara’s powers and probably her particular brand of weird quirks that will drive Yashiro to drinking are.
Though, Aki also overheard something else and decided to poke her nose into it and while it didn't cause any big problem, Yashiro ended up revealing his identity because of it. This will definitely come back to bite him later, ig.
>**Yashiro**: *Only the lowest kind of scum become braves. The good ones all die.*
Well, to be a brave, you have to be a bit of grey character otherwise people/things get the better of you. Wonder what exactly happened to Aki's father?
[Interesting comment from Jogamine.](https://i.imgur.com/sF8jAKC.jpeg) She apparently doesn't mind being mistaken for Yashiro's girlfriend. Girl, find someone else. Although we don't really know Yashiro's age, I'm betting he's at least 15 years older than her.
[It's hilarious how straightforward Jogamine is.](https://i.imgur.com/M1VUxP6.jpeg) Just marching into that private room and declaring her intentions in all honesty was pretty funny. Thankfully, [Yashiro managed to settle it with a 1v1.](https://i.imgur.com/3CSzQuF.jpeg)
Hilarious how Yashiro and Ishino are discussing and Aki just there confused vibing and wanting to know who Malta-San was.
How dangerous will be E4, if E3 can enhance your violent thoughts?
The ability to draw an invisible sword (with maybe changing length) seems dangerous but Yashiro has luckily “bullet time”.
Aki and Yashiro saved the girls without any killing.
Meanwhile Ishino took a more aggressive approach.
Anyway next episode we see what skills Sara has.
Whoever is managing to pull this off deserves a raise.
It is perfect for these adaptations where it's more about style and charm than fluidity.
It both pulls off cartoonish look for the goofy moments, and mature look for more serious moments, while being as kind as it can on the animators.
Ishino is the kind of person you really shouldn't be owing money to.
I am curious what's the deal with the villain this week. He seemed like an important guy, and they said he's related to some demon lord as well. Compared to previous episodes, there's no body count this episode and the conflict was resolved relatively easy. Just wondering if this is a set up for future villain.
I don't know if this is relevant but this is the same guy who write Sentenced to be a Hero. And that anime got such a high budget despite being scheduled for 12 episodes. this anime however doesn't have that kind of spark that would invite a 2 cou4 investment. just my opinion however.
2. It's already confirmed to be 24 episodes.
We get some more time with Aki. She really is a good goober. I think it is clear that her father was Yashiro's mentor. Though it is clear that he is dead. I expect he knows that his mentor was Aki's father.
I like the slow build-up so far. There are people who inject their E3 on a routine. It's not really a surprise, but you really wonder how much it costs in the long run.
We finally get a Saera episode next week.
Both goofy art and song go well together with the vibes of the show.
Yashiro is Harry
Bartender is Mac - obviously...
Ishino right now I am going with Thomas or the rich guy that i forget his name...
I'm certain there will be an intro of a superhuman brave with high morals...that would be the MIchael Carpenter character. Which would lead to being Jogamine's father and making her Molly...
Pasar week Indo, now Aki and the next week Sara and we'll have their correspondent episodes completed finally, I'm thinking what come later.
Damn, the last scene with Ishino was amazing, Ishino has a potencial to be a badass character, but to be a villain too.
Either, way I do like how heroes and villains work here, specially in that underworld vibe bit and how people use the superpower drug just to get a kick. Helps set the grimmy mood of herowork as an underground scummy business.
I guess you just sit there sweating
I can tell most of the episodes this season will start out exactly like that.
I hope that changes soon
