Action/Fantasy Anime Recommendations for Beginners

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a new anime to watch. The last three anime I really enjoyed were Solo Leveling, Black Clover, and Overlord.

Can you recommend something similar? I especially like strong protagonists, fantasy settings, and a lot of action.

Thanks!

Hey, sorry if this is a dumb question, but what do you mean by that?
I'm quite new to this subreddit, so please let me know if I did something wrong with my post.

Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious

A solid 12 episode watch that I rate real highly is A returners magic should be special

Grimgar Ashes and Illusions.

It's gonna leave you wanting more but it's great. You can't go wrong with Frieren also.

That time I reincarnated as a slime should have everything you need. Nice story strong my, issekai fantasy setting.

Sword art online and Shang ri la frontier are some other nice ones.

Watch either guin saga or legend of the legendary heroes, but are great fantasy animes

Shangri-La Frontier !

very similar pacing and power growth at Solo, but a little more lighthearted

Reincarnated as a sword.

If you liked Overlord….. Eminence in Shadow has a similar vibe to it ( though it depends on your taste so give it a 5 episode trial)

Chainsawman is also another good action show.

Hells Paradise, To be Hero X and Kaiju are all stellar choices for new action anime adaptation.

Also try Grimgar an Isekai show with a realistic take and a unique art style. I enjoyed the combat and challenges in the show ( although there is only one season adapted so be warned about that)

Finally a hidden gem recommendation would be Faraway Paladin. Purely fantasy based adventure action show.

If you want strong protagonists, look into the Eminence in Shadow. It has some amazing animation.

Why not the big 3? Naruto, Bleach, One Piece.
