My Top 25 anime of 2025

Now is the best time, I've watched 50 new anime from last year, but here is the half I thought was the best in my opinion:

This was tough, really tough. I've been mulling this over for weeks. Anyway, what do you all think? Good, okay, or do you disagree with some of my placements. Personally, they all seem right to me. Comment if you feel like it.

Isn't it supposed to be that way? It's literally a what-if where the Zeon won the One Year War and stole the Gundam from the Federation, as seen in episode 2.

I know I watched it still bad it couldn't decied if it was a fighting battle royal or a deep lookat Gundam without Arturo fails at both plots

S3 is a 9, 4 and on have been varying levels of 8s. I haven't given anything a 9 since JoJo Part 6 in 2022.

S6 is done for the moment. A sequel may have been announced but we don't know if it'll be a part 2 or just plain S6. I think ending it in middle of a battle just goes to show how limited one cour seasons are and it's another reason why it was only so high in my scoring.

its a part 1 theres more on the way i agree with that problem i read it all at once and this arc is so hype but i hope the second half is a 9 because it feels like all they did was set the board and have a small skirmish

Most of the ones on your list I personally haven't seen and it appears as if we only have one title in common between us, but:

- Clevatess - 7/10 (I consider this a good rating; it's my average good, though the series doesn't quite make the cut for my top favorites list, although mostly everything on there I'd rate the same as all 7s and a few 6s)
- Futari Solo Camp - 6/10
- Pass the Monster Meat Milady - Dropped after first episode
- Sanda and Witch Watch - Still planning to watch

My own list, though I haven't ranked it past 10 and the only year I've ever done a longer one like a Top 15 for was 2024, so I'll just do Top 10 and then some unranked honorable mentions. Only new series and excluding returning ones (of which the only ones I watched were the new seasons of Arknights, The Apothecary Diaries, and Reborn as a Vending Machine I Now Wander the Dungeon).

There is a serious criminal lack of Takopi on this list. I'm not too sure what my own list would look like and what order all the shows I watched last year would be in but the one thing I do know is that Takopi would be at the very top of the list.

As for your own list, I'm curious as to why Gachiakuta is at the top when the rest of the most of your top 10 would seem to indicate that you favor romance anime.
