your masterpiece (10000/10) anime recommendation pls

I need something amazing, I just finished Dororo and now I can‘t stop thinking about this masterpiece. do you have any 10/10 animes?

I have watched all the popular/known ones like Dandandan, jjk, hells gate, fire force, spy x family, delicious dungeon, ranking of kings, frieren, chainsaw men, sakomoto days, fmab, aot, tokyo ghoul, the promised neverland (only s1), mob psycho 100, fairytale, cleavatess, cowboy beepob, samurai champloo, code geass, neon evangeleon, etc. and some more niche like Id invaded, kingdom, parasyte, kekkaishi, darker than black, link click, lord of mysteries, rurouni kenshin, etc. so I'm out of ideas...

Damn, I do not see any love for Mushishi.

If you like something somewhat more mellow, episodic, but thoughtful with some amazing ambient music, I highly recommend this.

Steins;gate
- its a moderately slow first half because it has to set up the stakes and it flies off the rails the latter for an incredible masterpiece payoff
- multi-genre excellence: sci-fi, psychological thriller, mystery, drama character-driven stakes, slice-of-life comedy, conspiracy techno-thriller, romance that is structurally important

mihizawi2026-02-01 11:02

My 10/10 animes (or at least one of the seasons is 10/10), The first two are my favorite ones, but I'll admit that it may be a bit of nostalgia bias there

\- Cardcaptor Sakura

\- Kimagure Orange Road

\- The Apothecary Diaries

\- Madoka Magica

\- Your Lie in April

\- Princess Tutu

\- Teasing Master Takagi-san (3rd season, but the other two are a very high 9/10)

\- Clannad: After Story (the first season of Clannad is a 9/10)

ComprehensiveTry42222026-02-01 12:43

I still cry when I think of Your Lie in April.... thanks for the list!

Zounasss2026-02-01 11:11

Parasyte niche? Wasn't that like the most watched anime when it came out

Uodda2026-02-01 11:15

Didn't see big three. In your list.

More new one.

Goblin slayer, Vinland saga,

More old one

Sao, Grimgar(not finished), Drifters(not finished), Psycho passport.

ComprehensiveTry42222026-02-01 12:50

I didn't think I'd need to mention them bc they're that famous (still great though!) ...
Thanks for the list, I have already watched most of them but I will check out Drifters and Grimgar

Uodda2026-02-01 12:57

>I will check out Drifters and Grimgar

Be prepared to that, they are great, but so far no sequals are planned, which frustrating.

This is a very particular anime recommendation im going to give, some could consider a couple controversial:

\- *Bakemonogatari*, peak shit if you can see above the lolicon preferences in this anime.

\-*Shinsekai Yori* ("From the New World"), peak story telling and world building, if you can manage to go beyond the slow start and setup.

\-*Ginga Eiyū Densetsu("|*Legend of the Galactic Heroes"), peak science fiction, one of the most mature animes i have ever seen spawning from interpersonal relations to war and philosophy of society and politics. But can you go past it's low quality animation in it's first episodes coupled with slow pacing?

\-*Oddo Takushī*("Odd Taxi " ), increidible drama, but utterly misleading by the first impression you can get, seems childish with cute animal characters, you couldn't be more wrong about it, also has an insane plot twist at the end in my personal opinion about the protagonist.

\- *Meido in Abisu* ("Made in Abyss"), the anime that is able to mix bizarre with cuteness to perfection, but it's ever on going as the content is still in emission.

If you like movies as well:

Any movie by the genius [Satoshi Kon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satoshi_Kon), [*Perfect Blue*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_Blue)*,* and [*Paprika*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paprika_(2006_film)) are particularly amazing in my opinion, the cinematography on it is top notch and the story itself really psychological and detailed for a movie.

Belive me bro, i only reacommend the peakest of the peakest, this is what you look up to after u reach the everest(obv exaggerating my peak anime but gotta sell them somehow).

ComprehensiveTry42222026-02-01 12:41

I really tried Made in Abyss... but the n\*cked children are just much for me

AtomicPeng2026-02-01 12:27

Kino's Journey. Beautiful anime that explores complex topics in a unique way.

Yukii_chan772026-02-01 12:29

Vinland Saga: Since you liked *Dororo* and *Kingdom*, I think you will like it

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

Steins;Gate: You want a 10/10? This is it.

One piece, nothing to say haha

ComprehensiveTry42222026-02-01 12:52

You are so right, I have absolutely loved Vinland Saga. The others I have already watched except Magi, I will check it out
