Was this the one where the digivice had a card reader on it?
The_Rain_Guardian2026-02-02 02:48
That was season 3. This is season 5 where you needed to punch enemy digimon in order to digivolve your own
BoboSmooth2026-02-02 03:04
That's nuts. Is this before or after the one where the humans turned into digimon to fight?
The_Rain_Guardian2026-02-02 03:18
After. Turning into Digimon was season 4 lol
LargeFailSon2026-02-02 03:01
Lmao, this season's gimmick was so funny.
Gotta throw hands with the digimon to evolve your own, lol
Tell_Specialist2026-02-02 03:25
Loved this show, Marcus "One Punch" Damon is such an icon in the Digimon fandom.
HumidToku2026-02-02 03:38
Damn this season is 20 years old? This still feels like one of the newer seasons to me… 👴👴👴
KTR19882026-02-02 05:14
Yeah I did a double take on the year listed. Also there are much smaller gaps between series than I originally thought. After they stopped doing annual entries there's usually no more than 3-4 years between each subsequent series.

I played the new Digimon game recently, and the strange thing is that this is basically the last season of the anime that has a decent number of Digimon represented in the game. Shoutmon, the main Digimon of the season after Data Squad, made it in, but that's it.
5t4t352026-02-02 09:48
It actually is if you think about it
Samy_Ninja_Pro2026-02-02 03:55
Lemme just punch a kaiju real quick
Combatmedic2-472026-02-02 04:01
Oh right the punching one, DNA charge.
OtherwiseProgrammer92026-02-02 04:28
Whoever came up with the idea for Marcus is a genius
TheFa562026-02-02 04:38
"Believer" is such a bop, years later I still hum it in my head.

When you have to face a fight.
Cute-Beginning-41262026-02-02 07:02
Data Squad in the big 2026? Neato

The very first 30 seconds has soo much one piece vibes that I had to write this comment
santas_delibird2026-02-02 11:22
I still can't fully remember if it's this or adventure that was my very first memory of digimon and anime in general.
fruitspunch_samurai_2026-02-02 11:58

Kadmos12026-02-02 12:23
He wants to choke that chicken.
srofais2026-02-02 13:23
Man I know Tamers is considered objectively the best but this season is honestly probably my personal favourite, it's the most fun to rewatch
WILDFIRE14412026-02-02 13:47
I really need to go back to the digimon series lol
