> The Pierrot Magical Girl series returns in the Reiwa era — a long-awaited, completely original new work.
Nonoyama Fū is an innocent elementary schooler eagerly looking forward to summer vacation.
Nonoyama Ryū is a reserved but hard-working middle schooler.
> Though they used to be close sisters,
lately the distance between their hearts somehow feels greater than before… One day, Fū encounters a mysterious spaceship and is granted magical powers.
At the same time, Ryū also obtains wonderful magical abilities. Fū and Ryū transform into the adults they’ve always admired. However, there are two rules:
> The time limit is one year
> The existence of magic must be kept secret from everyone. Before long, without knowing each other’s secret, the two sisters each begin to shine as idols — !
Pink, blue, white combo in that specific pastel tone. That's all.

Doesn't this color combo just scream cute? Idk how TG make sense here. It would be different thing if there's a rainbow which ismt here
Ioxem2026-02-02 12:43
The color combo can be cute and trans. This is how the [transflag](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTqzVbnflSfexKQf6LtHmAmyvGh4JNyYNUOhA&s) looks if you're not aware.
comelickmyarmpits2026-02-02 12:46
Okay maybe I am taking trans incorrectly, can u tell me what this anime being trans means?
Ioxem2026-02-02 12:50
Refer back to my second comment.
Takemyfishplease2026-02-02 12:55
They are hoping for trans representation becomes so,e of the colors used in the palate are similar to the three colors the trans community uses.
It’s a stretch

Thanks

Naw yall can fuck off with this they just said it has a similar color as the transgender flag, which it does.
Like he says "refer to my past comment" which only says "Pink, blue, white combo in that specific pastel tone. That's all."
I don't understand why anyone would take this as anything other than "looks like the trans flag".

Finally some anime original

The OP song (Bubee) is by a Kpop group ([ILLIT](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illit); pronounced EYE-lit). Other anime things they've done are the ED song for Pokémon Horizons – Rising Hope arc (["Secret Quest"](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nOXlEq-SufG0j3dUuyLIdQHHs2pQqSgi8) edit: this might have only been the Korean airing) and 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess S2 OP (["Sunday Morning"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-01oDwXKSuE)).

[wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierrot](http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierrot) explains the origin of the name "Pierrot". To think that Studio Pierrot's biggest anime franchise(s) is likey the *Naruto*/*Boruto* franchises(s).

This looks good. Hope the writing is good too!

I was going to complain "why idols?", but it's part of Pierrot magical girl series, which includes the literal Magical Idol Pastel Yumi, so it's totally in line. I still feel that idols are just there for marketing reasons.

Definitely interesting that Pierrot is doing a throwback to its '80s magical girl shows
