Don't tell me; the Crunchyroll encountering an error both on desktop and on the app isn't just me, every CR subscriber is encountering it

BrokeEconomist2026-02-02 17:10

I'm having the same error.

Kireag2026-02-02 17:10

Don't worry guys they're raising prices in response. /s

BrokeEconomist2026-02-02 17:26

I used the app to download the episode...it didn't have any subtitles.

the_dan_man2026-02-02 17:43

Still seeing the error here on desktop

Gaporigo2026-02-02 18:50

Still happening

BrokeEconomist2026-02-02 19:08

The worst thing is it's impossible to send a report to CR because the error overlay hides the button used to send reports.

clone692026-02-02 19:15

Error API-403 on the app, desktop just said there was a network error. It's only happening with this episode

ObvsThrowaway51202026-02-02 17:38

Honestly, I woulda confessed to Hamungous even without that amazing pepper steak. Look how cute they are!

Using a dead god’s sword to make fried rice is a new torture method. Pretty amazing stuff lol.

Vanilla did a good job on her torture. Such a cute plushie. Got some real valuable intel outta that haha.

99anan992026-02-02 17:43

At first, Hamungus did weird me out, but his pepper steak quickly won me over. He's cute!

Using a demonic blade to make fried rice. Genius!

Vanilla is cute! I'm happy that she didn't give up!

SSjjlex2026-02-02 18:04

The "Unless the princess has an extremely long lower body" joke was so good it was practically begging for princess to say the exact same thing when carrying Tortura

Also for those who complained before, we now have confirmation that the Princess is[ not allowed to leave the Castle at will without supervision](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/fc40a6f17143.png). Thank god we have some logical world-building here in this anime.

Also I've said it before and I'll say it again, post-ED solo tortura segments gotta be one of my most favourite things ever

cyberscythe2026-02-02 18:44

> the Princess is not allowed to leave the Castle at will without supervision

probably for her own good

the demon lord has noticed that humans tend to often lose their way in the demon realm

Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-02-02 19:04

> Also for those who complained before, we now have confirmation that the Princess is not allowed to leave the Castle at will without supervision. Thank god we have some logical world-building here in this anime.

Even if the supervision is sometimes "a toddler" or "her 2 best friends"

[](#azusalaugh)

She might even be watched more closely in the human realm, given her (presumed) best friend was supposed to assassinate her!

olovlupi1002026-02-02 19:18

>"Unless the princess has an extremely long lower body"

Not sure if I'm mistaken, but I think it's supposed to just mean [strong legs and back?](https://imgur.com/O8y30it)

TehAxelius2026-02-02 18:23

I do love how the conceit has just kinda given up on the tortures having Hime give in before she gets the reward, and just assumes that she will confess anyway, meaning she gets the tasty thing first and then gives the secret in exchange.

[](#anko)

cyberscythe2026-02-02 18:48

is it like how you can run a tab at a bar where you're a regular

[](#rengethink)

Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-02-02 19:05

Unspoken agreement, if someday she DID refuse to give them a secret after the meal/toy/etc.., she knows the next time she won't get the treat first!

cyberscythe2026-02-02 19:12

in game theory, it's known as "prisoner's dilemma with repetition"

[](#hikariactually)

Weak_Season_Of_Anime2026-02-02 18:32

The hamster skit just kept getting more ridiculous lol. I wonder if Hamsuke is a professional hamster too.

Did Hime just surrender to a meal that she cooked herself? Anyway I think Uncle Roger would approve of this fried rice.

Hold on Vanilla, that isn't torture, it's just a gift!

Tortura falling victim to consumerism, how tragic.

cyberscythe2026-02-02 19:03

> The hamster skit just kept getting more ridiculous lol

i like how deep we are in the paint with these characters that we can do a double/triple-subversion in the same torture session

it's not actually a tiny cute hamster, it's huge, it can talk, and its key talent is cooking Chinese food

[](#tomato)

Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-02-02 19:07

> Tortura falling victim to consumerism

Seems she might need to work that overtime anyway, despite Gilga's best efforts!

yawnman2402026-02-02 18:36

I never finished season 1 because I was too busy at the time, but I’ve had more free time on Mondays and have been keeping up with this season, it’s been a delight so far. I plan to go back to rewatch s1 eventually, but it's best to be mindful when consuming gag anime as to not exhaust the experience.

shad792026-02-02 18:43

Thank goodness Hime liked that handmade plushie and Vanilla's torture was a success! If it weren't for that, my heart probably would have broken at the sight of Vanilla crying, and *that* would have been a real torture!

Kral/Hamungous and Gilga's tortures were close to failure today, though I was sure that Hime will eventually confess. Ex really should stop dreaming about Hime not giving up to them xD

Oh my god, that post-credits segment with Torture was hilarious. I definitely would have the same expression as her after buying such expensive clothes because I didn't want to tell the cashier I wasn't buying them after all xD

But still, Torture still looked great in that new sweatshirt, and I'm glad she didn't get it dirty during her visit to the cafe.

I'll later update this comment with my screenshot albums from the episode.

[First frame of the episode, already know it's gonna be a good one!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/d40f6b290568.png)

[](#delighted)

[Oh damn, Hime's losing it... Can't fault her, after months of grueling torture...](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/0e23488ae36a.png)

[Ok THIS one might win against a lion!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/048da523acfb.png)

[Poor Krall, so often looks dejected when her best torture attempts don't work because people don't like animals as much as she does](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/4fe9aeecdf0f.png)

[](#akkotears)

[*The Hell Lord confessed*](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/a946aeae2bc2.png)

Love how it doesn't matter whether it's a giant hamster or a legendary sword, [it all leads to food!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/b2d7289da811.png)

[Oh damn, I hope they don't pour molten ~~gold~~ wok over her head!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/63185ee0f4e6.png)

[](#terror)

She already has Ex so I guess it doesn't change that much, but I love how they just [give their prisoner the sword of the God of destruction!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/fdef73c35535.png)

[](#azusalaugh)

[Mandatory "TORTURA'S SO CUUUUUUUUTE!" of the episode.](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/76ee36f4941d.png)

I played 'skipping steps while running UPstairs' a few times, but [I don't think I ever played that... I might actually fall for this one!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/19fce639d504.png)

[Poor torturers are having a rough time today!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/618703c6b870.png)

[AAHHHHHHHHHHHH Tortura piggyback ride!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/f72301844da4.png)

They would DEFINITELY get me with this one, I'd confess a secret every 10 steps if that's what it took.

[Second time they mention Imouto-chan in recent episodes... I'm guessing we might see her soon enough!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/5c3ef857e694.png)

[Same! (Oh, she was talking about the shirt, not about herself)](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/8b1aaad3cc0c.png)

[](#sillyme)

[I-Is she talking about herself there?](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/f5d16cf02f20.png)

[The only time I ever said something like that, is when I realized they were somehow charging me less...](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/5ec3c8c1ba84.png)

Which either makes me honest, or a big Baka, depends how you see it.

[](#sillyme)

[Comfy tortura is 10/10! Perfect for a cuddly netflix or videogame night or something!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/86eb9c967457.png)

[Cuuuuuuute!](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/570f1cf79928.png)

(And this concludes this episode of *Gushing over Tortura!*)

cyberscythe2026-02-02 19:10

i love these sort of "daily life of Torture" end bits; they highlight some of the small ways that a mundane daily life can be enhanced with the right mindset (and also sometimes two hundred dollars)

like, the one where she goes to a donburi place or chilling at a business hotel are so grounded and relatable, but with her supreme skills as a torturer she's able to make the most of it

[](#justright)

Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-02-02 19:15

> i love these sort of "daily life of Torture" end bits

Same; They're pretty fun, and also, well I doubt anyone could tell from my comments, but I may have a bit of a crush on Tortura!

love the Gilga and Vanilla rep today

[](#feelingloved)

i think Gilga is one of the more low-key members of the torture squad; she barely got any screen time in season one, so it's nice to see her brand of torture on display nerding out over her cursed sword

the way that Gilga gave Hime the sword to wield reminded me of [that German WW2 interrogator that let one of his POWs go on a trial run flying a German airplane](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanns_Scharff#:~:text=one%20POW%20was%20even%20allowed%20to%20take%20a%20Bf%20109%20fighter%20for%20a%20trial%20run)

Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-02-02 19:12

>He has been highly praised for the success of his techniques, in particular, because he never used physical means to obtain the required information.

Interesting! I've watched a few videos of police interrogations on youtube in which they did manage to get the murderer to confess with various methods, I'm guessing he was doing something like that!

(Must be much harder as a war interrogator though!)

* [**Torture's ¥30,000 Sweatshirt**](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/974138181d47.jpg)

I'm honestly [surprised at Hime's reaction to Hamungous.](https://i.imgur.com/iRXEh41.jpeg) I thought she'd find the guy cute, but I can understand her reaction. She was expecting [something small and adorable](https://i.imgur.com/UX7WZ0x.jpeg), not something big and intimidating. I do feel bad for Krall. [She looked so dejected](https://i.imgur.com/pgGDTOn.jpeg) after Hime's lukewarm response :(

Thankfully, they managed to save the torture session [when Hamungous decided to just cook for Hime.](https://i.imgur.com/3WUDdeV.jpeg) Honestly, a good strategy. Just present Hime some good food, and she'll quickly reveal more secrets. Also, I love the implication that [China exists in this world.](https://i.imgur.com/Sk9lACR.jpeg) xD

[I always love seeing the Demon Lord and his wife](https://i.imgur.com/SKFmtvZ.jpeg) in their totally normal Japanese apartment. They need to make it to bring back Hamungous next time [so Maomao can get a picture with him too!](https://i.imgur.com/Lhj5tg7.jpeg)

[Hime helping out Gilga to finish her own torture](https://i.imgur.com/y0GeOGx.jpeg) was pretty funny. She already technically won when Gilga's torture method failed, but still decided to lose because [she wanted to eat fried rice.](https://i.imgur.com/rZz2cfz.jpeg) xD

[Vanilla-chan is just goddamn adorable.](https://i.imgur.com/jxpe5Gj.jpeg) I felt bad when she realized [that she forgot her torture.](https://i.imgur.com/geEkyen.jpeg) Even Hime got worried that [she had Torture escort her](https://i.imgur.com/15L9tOe.jpeg) so she can make sure Vanilla is okay. I'm glad Vanilla didn't give up [and managed to deliver her torture](https://i.imgur.com/ce345PG.jpeg)

And that after credits scene! As soon as I saw [Torture's thumb covering the price tag](https://i.imgur.com/2UN0syS.jpeg), I knew there was an extra zero there! Not gonna lie, [I kinda relate to her being too embarrassed to say no to the cash register](https://i.imgur.com/KFJPq43.jpeg) when she learned the actual price. Not to that extreme, but I have ended up buying clothes that I thought were on sale, but not really when I got to the till. [At least the sweatshirt that Torture bought seemed worth it in the end.](https://i.imgur.com/jVzR3S5.jpeg)
